These are excerpts from, “A Patients’ Guide to Medical Cannabis,” published by Americans for Safe Access. This booklet may be purchased on Amazon Kindle for $5.99.
“Research published in 2009 found that the non-psychoactive cannabinoid cannabidiol (CBD) inhibits the invasion of both human cervical cancer and human lung cancer cells. By manipulation up-regulation of a tissue inhibitor, researchers may have revealed the mechanism of CBD’s tumor fighting effect. A further in
“According to the American Academy of Pain, nearly 50 million Americans suffer from persistent pain. Unfortunately, it is estimated that four out of every ten people living with moderate-to severe pain have yet to experience relief. After reviewing a series of trials in 1997, the US Society for Neuroscience concluded that “substances similar to or derived from marijuana could benefit the more than 97 million Americans who experience some form of pain each year.” (. 16)
By contrast, the safety record of cannabis is remarkable, and its centuries of use as an analgesic well documented. In their meta-analysis of the available data, the Institute of Medicine acknowledged the wide use of cannabis for pain, noting that “after nausea and vomiting, chronic pain was the condition cited most often to the IOM study team as a medicinal use for marijuana.” Currently, pain relief is by far the most common condition for which physicians recommend the use of cannabis.” (. 16)

Sher-Ray would like to note:
The State of Oregon has no regulation regarding the amount of CBD in a product and states it cannot be sold in medical marijuana dispensaries. Presently, the state does not require testing for pesticides, mold, or fungus. Sher-Ray feels these tests are necessary to insure the high quality of her products. A State of Oregon Certified Lab, tests each batch of CBD purchase. Sher Ray also requires that all CBD used in formulating her products by CO2 extraction, which is the best extraction method for the oil.

CBD does not interfere with several and psychological functions in humans. CBD does not affect heart rate, blood pressure, or performance in the verbal paired-associate learning as measured by recall score at doses up to 600mg (Bergamaschi, M., Costa Queiroz, R., Crippa, J. & Zuardi, A., 2011). This research suggests and supports that CBD has different effects than the more well-known effects of THC.
CBD exerts anti-proliferative and pro-apoptotic effects in tumor cell lines (Bergamaschi, M., Costa Queiroz, R., Crippa, J. & Zuardi, A., 2011). This might sound like a
National Cancer Institute, updated information on their FAQ page on July 16, 2015 that “Cannabis has been shown to kill cancer cells in the laboratory”, however, this was a preclinical study and there is not enough evidence yet to recommend cannabis for the treatment of cancer

*Regarding our LadyBug CBD Hemp Products: It’s important to note that our Hemp CBD Oil products are legal in all 50 States. Our dilemma is that many states require
States keep changing their labeling requirements, so we only ship to states that we know our labeling exceeds their requirements. At this time, we do not ship to all 50 states, as it is not our intention to sell without the proper labeling to make us compliant. So until labeling is unified, we’ll ship to the states we are comfortable that our labels exceed their rules and regulations.
